  • Awesome Art: All the artwork is beautifully horrifying, from creepy rooms to slavering monsters.
  • Awesome Moments: It’s possible for the players to not just escape the Darkest House, but undo its corruption and seal it off from their universe forever, ensuring no-one can be taken by it again.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The Master Of Pain sequence can very easily become this. While it can have plot ramifications if the players deal with him, if they don’t? What happens is a player gets wounded...and then without warning everyone is sucked into a blood fountain, walks through a maze full of cenobite expies, meets the god of pain, and just goes right back to the house like nothing happened
  • Funny Moments: The description of the Nursery notes that a rocking chair slowly creaks by itself “because of course it does”
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • One way you can escape the house is to hold to your ideals despite its attempts to undermine them. Another way is to recognise your flaws, and overcome them. Whether through faith or through self-growth, even the Darkest House can’t hold you then.
    • In the Dog Room, you meet Buddy, a cute dog. He’s not a trap, just a dog that wandered into the house. And you can help him, protecting him from the Darkest House’s horrors and taking it back to the real world. Going in and saving him is even a suggested way to get the characters to enter the house.
  • Narm: One of the rooms you can find is...The Backrooms. Not an Expy or Captain Ersatz of the Backrooms, literally just the Backrooms imported wholesale and unchanged from the 4Chan post. It feels like a parody of a horror campaign as you abruptly go from gothic psychological horror story to just acting out an extremely famous Creepypasta scene for scene.
  • Paranoia Fuel: Any room in any house can become part of the Darkest House at any time. Including yours, right now.
