Here is what I remember:
- Beast Wars Megatron, along with Animated Megatron
- Darkrai from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers
- Renegades Cobra Commander, along with Krake from G.I. Joe (IDW)
Complete Monsters and Magnificent Bastards.
Oh no! The DREADED AQUAE MORTIS! No, wait, it's just your imagination.I don't believe this thread is a good idea. I fear this might lead to fighting over which characters deserve to be Complete Monsters and Magnificent Bastards.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)Yeah, this thread is just a gigantic attempt at bypassing the proper threads for this.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I know that at least one attempt to list characters that qualified as both was cut by mods because they feared it would encourage the "Badge of honour" mentality about these tropes.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I want to make it perfectly clear that this thread is not meant for arguing about who should qualify. It's merely an attempt to find examples that currently do qualify. Just a fun, trivia-based exercise. No more, no less.
Death Note’s Light Yagami feels like an obvious answer but nobody has said it yet. He’s incredibly smart and resourceful in pursuit of his ideal world but his methods are manipulative and horrifying.
I really hope this thread doesn’t devolve into fighting. They’re specific tropes that can overlap but I don’t know if it should belong in the “Trope Talk” forums. I also think it would be best to mention Complete Monster and Magnificat Bastard in the trash’ thread’s title.

...Except he's not an MB.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFair, he does have trouble thinking quickly and is constantly under stress.
While you’re entitled to and I accept your contrasting thought, I think this might be what the people questioning this thread are talking about.
...I wasn't sharing an opinion. Light isn't labeled a Magnificent Bastard. I also have zero horse in the race beyond a factual correction.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessGot it. I’m sorry.
The Joker in The Dark Knight is an interesting case where he's labeled a CM in the movie proper but an MB in the novelization due to his personality being tweaked a little.

Please keep discussion about who does or doesn't qualify for Complete Monster and/or Magnificent Bastard in those tropes' own threads. Locking.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
I hope this is the right place for this thread. I'm trying to create a list of characters who are considered both Complete Monsters and Magnificent Bastards. I've only come up with four so far:
I'm sure there must be more so any help will be appreciated.
