* ItsPopularSoItSucks: The series has completely overtaken ''WebAnimation/AmongUsLogic''[='=]s place as [=GameToons=]' flagship series. This comes to the annoyance of some fans, who want ''Among Us Logic'' back or at least want something else. When said series finally [[AuthorsSavingThrow got revived]] with ''Among Us Logic, But The Impostor Works Out'', some fans were begging [=GameToons=] to outright cancel ''FNFL'' in favor of more ''AUL'' episodes.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Many people take issue with the series due to how drastically it differs from the mods it draws from, to the point where it feels like [=GameToons=] doesn't do their research and takes the mods at face value. "Highlights" include Boyfriend being AdaptedOut, Daisy, Suicide Mouse, and Monika's classmates undergoing AdaptationalVillainy; Hank undergoing AdaptationalHeroism; Fleetway Sonic and Sonic.exe [[CompositeCharacter being the same character]]; things like Suicide Mouse being [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids retooled for kids at all]]; Jeff the Killer having some cursed knife that makes the wielder into a killer like him; Parappa's AdaptationalJerkass; Skid and Pump being scared of Mr. Clown; Jack the Stickman speaking and being TheComicallySerious; and so on.

* AssPull: In RETURN of EVIL BOYFRIEND, Daddy Dearest reveals that he lied about the origin of the corruption and that Monster was using him as a pawn in his schemes. There was no indication that he was an UnwittingPawn in this and seemed to take sheer pleasure of it, and Monster looked like his [[TheDragon dragon]]. There was also no explanation as to how he was an UnwittingPawn. Did Monster threaten him? Did they make a deal? What is the lore with this? Overall, it seems like [=GameToons=] just made this up as an excuse for Daddy Dearest’s sudden case of AdaptationalVillainy without any thought put into it.
** In that same episode, it was said multiple times that the corruption couldn’t be stopped, indicating how strong it was. In [[VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinCorruption the mod this was based off]], the corruption was a hopeless struggle and the entire world ended up succumbing to it. Player and Girlfriend however, were not even corrupted for a MINUTE and managed to break out of it and defeat Monster with little effort. What, was it ThePowerOfLove? They could’ve at least shown the [[spoiler:BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind from Week 8]] to justify it, but they didn’t and it ultimately came off as anticlimactic.

* BrokenBase: [=GameToons=]’ fanbase is divided on whether or not this series lives to the success of Among Us Logic. To some, this series is a nice change of pace where Player is no longer gonna have to lose. Others, however, have derided the series due to cashing in on [=FNF=]’s popularity, and [=GameToons=]’ treatment of the franchise as its new flagship series.

** Player’s [[AdaptationalJerkass new]] [[TookALevelInBadass characterization]] has divided fans. To some, this is a well-deserved break for him as he would constantly lose every game of Among Us. Others have not embraced this portrayal due to Player’s {{Jerkass}} behavior to almost everyone he sees.

* DesignatedHero: Player can be a pretty grating protagonist at times, with cases like Starlight Mayhem and Vs. Stickman being prime examples. In the former, he goes full SmugSuper, acting like an uncaring asshole to CJ and Ruby, even when the latter has clear confidence issues. In the latter, he barges into Jack's house, and continuously annoys him to see what's in his back room, even pelting him with microphones. It should be noted that in the original mod, while he still showed up in Jack's house unnanounced, Jack is the one who started pelting microphones and the Boyfriend only did it back in self-defense. Player doesn't have an excuse though.

* HeartwarmingInHindsight: The video “CAROL & WHITTY DATE WEEK! Friday Night Funkin' Logic” released only four days before the ACTUAL Date Week released.

* QuietlyCancelled: No new episode had been made since January of 2022, meaning it is most likely cancelled. Unlike with ''WebAnimation/AmongUsLogic'', which [[RunningGagged had reasons for]] [[ItsPopularNowItSucks the end of its own run]], ''FNFL'' seems to had ended simply to make way for newer ''Logic'' shows such as ''WebAnimation/PoppyPlaytimeLogic''.

However instead, both videos had the corruption get resolved at the end of the episode, with only brief foreshadowing of it returning.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Their takes on mods can vary from decently researched to just surface-level and often wrong. This can be rather jarring when they backtrack to try and be closer to canon, as mentioned in the AssPull bit above. Other examples include...
** Ruv being killed by Taki despite the fact that he's immortal in his home mod.
** Suicide Mouse's entire story being overhauled into something mentioning Chernabog. Suicide Mouse even ''tries to stay alive.'' They also backtrack and make him outright evil in a later video.
** Jeff's knife being some corrupting weapon that can not only outright kill Slenderman, but nearly turns the Boyfriend into something similar to him. Even skimming through his creepypasta of origin would make it obvious Jeff's knife isn't the reason he's this way.
** Skid and Pump are scared of and hunted by Mr. Clown, while in ''Spooky Month'' proper, they see him as a NonIronicClown and he left them unharmed (the duo seem to be the only two people he spares). The only person they were actually scared of was [[CreepyUncle the Stranger]].
** In the second ''VideoGame/VsSonicExe'' video, Xenophanes, EXE and Fleetway Super Sonic are ''[[CompositeCharacter the same person]]''. Fleetway Super Sonic is especially noticible, as he's ''actually Sonic'', albeit his SuperpoweredEvilSide (and we actually get to see the transformation in a cutscene before "Chaos")
** The Auditor reviving Tricky is pretty jarring when you consider the Auditor despises Tricky. Hank also gets hit with AdaptationalHeroism, when he was just as bloodhungry as Tricky or the Auditor was, he just wasn't a megalomaniacal tyrant. In the very mod the video is based on, he's trying to kill the Boyfriend, while here, he calls him for help.
** Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki are given AdaptationalVillainy here. While Sayori does go crazy like Monika did once she becomes self-aware, they didn't all go nuts like this.
** [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Also, Gold keeps getting called Silver.]]

* FridgeHorror: Since Ruv has died and hasn't came back as of current, one could imagine that Selever and Rasazy have [[CessationOfExistence ceased to exist alongside him]], since Dokki has stated they will suffer this fate if Ruv or Sarvente break their vow. Thankfully, Selever ended up returning for his own episode, implying Ruv came back somehow/

** In the second ''VideoGame/VsSonicExe'' video, Xenophanes, EXE and Fleetway Super Sonic are ''[[CompositeCharacter the same person]]''.
